 A MINUTE TO WIN IT

NBC’s new game show “Minute to Win It,” features competitors participating in a series of simple, yet nerve-wracking, games that can lead to a $1 million prize. In each one-hour episode, competitors will face 10 challenges that escalate in level of difficulty using everyday household items. Each game has a ONE-MINUTE TIME LIMIT and failure to finish the task on time will eliminate the contestant.

What if you knew you only had ONE YEAR TO LIVE? How would your life change?

We no longer talk about the coming of the Lord!We no longer have the fear of the Lord:

  •   FEAR OF THE LORD – 30 times in Scripture
  •   FEAR THE LORD – 29 times in Scripture
  •   FEAR THY GOD – 5 times in Scripture
  •   FEAR GOD – 7 times in Scripture
  •   FEAR ME – 4 times in Scripture
  •   FEAR HIM – 22 times in Scripture
  •   FEAR THY NAME – 4 times in Scripture
  •   FEAR THEE – 13 times in Scripture

ONE-MINUTE TO LIVE IT

Luke 17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. 35. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 36. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 37. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

CHRIST IS COMING

I Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMP: FOR THE TRUMPET SHALL SOUND, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56. The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

I Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16.For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP OF GOD: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18.Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

OH WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN

Oh when the saints go marching in

When the saints go marching in

Oh lord I want to be in that number

When the saints go marching in

Oh when the trumpet sounds the call

Oh when the trumpet sounds the call

Oh lord I want to be in that number

When the saints go marching in

COMING AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT – G.T. Haywood

If Jesus should come would your soul be prepared?

What answer would render your life to be spared?

He’s coming as a thief in the night. O soul awake! Soon the Lord shall come,

And none shall stand in his sight,

But those who are washed in the blood of the Lamb,

When He comes as a thief in the night.

I’LL FLY AWAY

Some glad morning when this life is o’er, I’ll fly away;

To a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away).

I’ll fly away, Oh Glory; I’ll fly away; (in the morning)

When I die, Hallelujah, by and by, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away).

Just a few more weary days and then, I’ll fly away;

To a land where joy shall never end, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away)

THERE IS GOING TO BE A MEETING IN THE AIR

There is going to be a meeting in the air

In that sweet sweet by and by

I am going to meet you meet you over there

In that home beyond the sky

The singing you will hear never heard by mortals ears

Will be glorious I do declare

And God’s own son will be the leading one

At that meeting in the air

CARPE DIEM: SEIZE THE DAY

There is an obscure Latin phrase that sums up our current times: Carpe Diem. It means Seize the Day. It’s an exhortation to live life to the fullest, getting the most out of each day and every situation.

BUCKET LIST: A list of things to do before you die. Comes from the term “kicked the bucket”.

  •   If you only had one year to live what would your spiritual “Bucket list look like?
