An exciting way to take up offering is to have a clothesline ran across the front of your meeting space. You then break your group into two teams (Guys against girls is still usually the best motivator after 2000 years) Have a bunch of clothespins on the left and the right of the clothesline. Designate one side as GUYS and one side as GIRLS. Ideas to consider:
- I usually run the contest for one to two months
- I promote a great prize for the winning team (Ice cream party, Pizza Party ect.)
- Keep careful records of who has given what as this will determine the success of your offering drive
This offering contest generates a lot of excitement as they love to run up and hang their offering on the clothesline and they can see who is winning each week.
