A great way to introduce new groups, is a clothespin kudos activity. Give each participant a clothespin and a sharpie marker. Then have participants create a “Nifty Nickname” for themselves. This is done by using an adjective that begins with the same letter as their name. This quality is to describe the participant. Examples could include:
- Dynamic David
- Positive Polyanna
- Smiley Susan
- Talkative Tim
Your group can use their creativity. Just be real clear with the group that these are to be VERY positive. You can then place everyone in a circle and go around the room and have people read off their new name tags. Students will wear these for a very long time.
