I recently learned a great fundraiser from Rev. John R. Bailey, District Sunday School Director of Illinois. You announce to your church that on a particular date you will be taking up a shoe size offering. On the purposed date of the offering, everyone in the church will give an offering the size of their shoes.
EXAMPLE: If you wear size 9 shoes, you would give a $9.00 offering.
A recent study approximated that the average shoe size in America is size 9.
- If you have 100 people in your church it would be a $900.00 offering.
- If you have 50 people in your church it would be a $450.00 offering.
This is an easy offering and you could make it a lot of fun by taking up the offering using shoes.
Cool idea!

This is a great idea! Must of the time individuals don’t give because they don’t know how much to give. I’m going to use this at my church and will let you know how it goes.
