1) COMMITMENT IS USUALLY DISCOVERED IN THE MIDST OF ADVERSITY
There are three promises in Micah 7:8 to the believer. You will have enemies! You will fall! If you stay committed and trust in God, YOU WILL ARISE!
Micah 7:8 Rejoice not against me, (1) O mine enemy: (2) when I fall, (3) I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
2) COMMITMENT DOES NOT DEPEND ON GIFTS OR ABILITIES
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
3) COMMITMENT COMES AS THE RESULT OF A CHOICE NOT CONDITIONS
Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
4) COMMITMENT LASTS WHEN IT IS BASED ON VALUES
Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 21. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
